...Got up this morning to find the passenger side window of my car smashed into a billion pieces and my sat-nav stolen and this off my own driveway. I've had a fun filled day of dealing with my insurance company then a car window replacement company then the Police. These three organisations turned out to be brilliant and all has been resolved now, except I'm out of pocket by £75 insurance excess and I don't have a satnav any more....I need (another) voddie

I thought it was always advised to remove the satnav when parking up.
Janz you have my sympathy, we had our car radio nicked a good few years ago when the car was a week old. All the fuss of ringing around did my head in. enjoy your voddie or two. Sat-navs are a bleddy nuisance anyway, ours is built-in on the Honda and we never use it.
Oh, bummer, JM

Are the insurance going to pay out for a new sat nav, janzman ?.

tonyav...I haven't got that far yet but I suspect my excess is more than the cost of a new sat nav
Most mobiles have maps now and some speak, to drive you mad

tamborine. ..my mobile is steam driven, I dial a number and it's answered I speak and the other party speaks it's wonderful, I think its called 'voice activated'....but it doesn't have maps.. :-(
You have my sympathy janzman, as something similar happened to me last year. Now I lock the satnav away in the boot, whenever I leave the car. It was probably one of those stupid, irresponsible drugs addicts, the ones that we are discussing in NEWS at the moment.
