Gatwick Drop Off
8 Answers
Hi,
I shall be going to Gatwick North terminal tomorrow to drop off our bags for a 6.26am flight on Thursday but wondered if it is better to park in the south and catch the shuttle to the north and back or just as easy to park in the north?
Thanks

Cassa - I didn't even know you could do this! Unless you live very near Gatwick and are travelling with several young children (I'm guessing the latter), I can't see the point of making 2 trips to the airport in 2 days, with the added hassle of parking twice (Exhorbitant even for short-term if I remember rightly). I'm sure you'll explain all!
Thanks :)
It's now not so much the cost (we know it will cost about a tenner) so it is just for ease. If there is plenty of parking at North then I think we will go directly to there.
Baggage checkin is free because we have a package that includes them but you can check in the night before if the flight is early the next morning. I think if they are going to lose it they will regardless of when you check it in lol
If you check in before there is less of wait in the morning and you can just walk through to security rather than having to join an endless cue for an hour or so.
I have done it before but I was just a passenger so didn't take notice of the procedure. This time I am in charge and driving :0
