Milk Smells In Carpet

I spilt some milk on bedroom carpet. thought I had washed it properly but now there is a nasty smell..any tips please on removing the smell ?

It's guaranteed to remove odours from organic sources. (I've mainly used it to deal with cat urine problems but I've also recommended it to people who had to deal with smells from children's vomit and from spilt milk on car seats - it's never failed yet!)

Dampen the area with cold water and sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda (find it in the baking aisle in the supermarket) onto the stain. Leave to dry and then Hoover it up.
