sore kneecap

is anyone an expert on knees? I have a very sore kneecap - i can't touch it even. Clothes rub and i can't strap it up cos its too sore. My knee is generally aching too. there is no mark or outside soreness so wot can it be? Any ideas?

Have seen dr but he was not very interested!!

Get back to your doctors, make sure he knows that it's something you can't live with. If he still doesn't take any notice, ask if you can see another doctor in your practice (if you have any!).
