Tony - you must try and listen to Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs" - as near to Hendrix as you'll hear. Also, Groundhogs might send you into that old Prog Rock heaven. For some really crisp guitar work backed by thumping drums, try "Montrose" by Montrose - best track "Rock Candy" or "Bad Motor Scooter". Enjoy!
