Reached the last 3 2 down He looked forward in the open door O????; Shaw's savvy socialist ???N?B?S and 12 across Like couple in Eden who had not altogether tied the knot S??I - working on possibilities if 10 across is BARNABAS then why? It would make 1 down O?A?? (Obama?) but I have no idea whatsoever re 12 across - does all this make sense and if so can any of the usual suspects help me please!!

G B Shaw wote a book entitled An Unsocial Socialist the protaganist of which was Trefusis. Are you sure of the letters.

The N is in Dynamite (Kipling suggested it should be cooked frozen) the B Is Clavell's Noble House and the S is in Nostrum - which is a definitely correct answer

I can't parse the clue, but SEMI means "not altogether" in some contexts, i.e. it was semi-finished.
