Plus Net
can anyone advise on this, best package, i honestly don't know whether switching from talktalk is the best thing but they are serious pissing me off, have had endless letters, mail shots, and phone calls every day for weeks, i don't have a contract with them now, as it ran out, also i don't need all whistles and bells, no tv, mobile in other words, just landline, broadband, i don't even know what broadband capacity i am on. If i did shift to plusnet, does it mean i have to get a mac number.

I think you will need a Mac number from your current supplier before someone else will take you on. When my friend was with Talk Talk he had to pay a fee of £30 to leave the same that he paid to join them as they were not a landline, don't know if that has changed. He had endless problems with them too. When I wanted just a broadband and phone package I used the Post...

I think you will need a Mac number from your current supplier before someone else will take you on. When my friend was with Talk Talk he had to pay a fee of £30 to leave the same that he paid to join them as they were not a landline, don't know if that has changed. He had endless problems with them too. When I wanted just a broadband and phone package I used the Post Office and found them quite good. I think it may be a case of finding which company offer the best price and service in your area though.
that;s interesting thank you, i hate this pestering every damn day, they phone either as i am about to eat, i don't need to answer it, but it might the family so i do, then i get this idiot from SA, India, wherever that i can hardly understand, they prattle on and on, do i know about the tv, mobile package, on offer and on - yes i know all about it, from the junk mail that pours through the door almost every day. so i would need to ask for a mac number, do i need Plusnet router? and is this going to be painless, if anyone looked at the link. which seems a good deal, all advice most welcome
I joined Plusnet late last year and am very pleased with it.
I didn't need my MAC number as, when I phoned Plusnet to ask about joining them, they said they would contact Virgin and arrange all the transfer details. If you also arrange to pay the line rental annually it works out about E3 a month cheaper.
