Surely this man has every right to say what he thinks about Islam and homosexuality?

Like it or not, many Christians believe that homosexuality is genuinely an abomination before God.

Therefore, why are the UKIP hierarchy distancing themselves from him? Why not champion his right to free speech?

And more importantly, why call him 'a crackpot'?

If (as the usual suspects never tire of telling us) a member of the Liberal atheist chatterati used this term, we would be lambasted.

So how can UKIP get away with it?

Good that you're managing to keep the biblical thing going.

Philistine! :)

> Compare that to the more than 250 verses on the proper use of wealth or more than 300 on our responsibility to care for the poor and work for justice, and you appreciate quickly that homosexuality was not exactly a major theme of the Bible. <

more than 300 on our responsibility to care for the poor , wonder if our leaders have a different copy they read from
The Bible says that Blasphamy against God is the 'one sin that can never be forgiven' but some interpretations say that as homosexuality is an 'abomination' in the eyes of God, to commit this offence consitutes blasphamy.
The Koran also says it is an unforgivable sin.

I think those are two entirely different ideologies.

The specific quote from the Bible is on blasphemy. It's a mighty big stretch to say that an abomination is also blasphemy.
