Yes. Been using it for about 2 days, no problems. What don`t you like ?

Not sure yet. It's not that I don't like change or anything (I took to Windows 8 no bother), it's just, well I just dont know yet!!
The good thing about the people behind Firefox is that they don't work to the 'like it or lump it' system adopted by firms like Microsoft and Google (both of whom have a nasty habit of making 'improvements' that dissatisfied customers can't reverse). If you don't like the new look (or you just want a particular feature of Firefox 28 back again) you can go back to the old style:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox
Just this minute updated to v29 (on Mac): it looks exactly the same/seems to function as before.

Curious to know why 'you're not sure if you like it', then go on to say 'it's just, well I just dont know yet'... bizarre!

I think I'll hang in there for a little while longer Buenchico. Got to give it a chance I s'pose.
I'll keep that link in mind though.
it has downloaded 15 mins ago a few changes but seems ok to me

Bizarre snags?? It's just a feeling that I'm not too sure yet. I get them, obviously you dont. All sorts eh.
Thanks, ILA.

It's also worth remembering that, if you don't like the look of Firefox, there are over a quarter of a million alternatives available:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/themes/
if anything what is it you don't like is it just the change?
Apologies ImLostAgain... didn't mean to offend... it just seems strange that you have absolutely no reason for not liking the upgrade, other than the fact it is an upgrade.
Question Author
Yes a few to choose from there eh Buenchico!!!
berniecuddles, as I say I'm not sure yet. I'll prob get used to it. I tried chrome a while ago but didn't like that at all. I think I kinda feel that 29 is like that, if I remember correctly.
Hope that makes sense.
Question Author
No offence taken snags. I just said how I feel, or in this case how I feel I think I feel, so to speak. :-)
I updated to FF29 a few days back and perhaps someone can tell me for what differences I should be looking. Everything appears to be the same to me....Add-ons, Toolbars etc.

Hans.
Hans:
Many of the differences are in the way that Firefox can be customised, so they're not immediately apparent.

However one change that you might have noticed is that the title bar (across the top of the page, above 'File', 'Edit', etc) is no longer present by default. i.e. in Firefox 28 you'd see 'Firefox 29 in The AnswerBank: Computers - Mozilla Firefox' across the top of the screen but it's not there now' (although, of course, you can put it back if you want to).
Thanks Buenchico for the info. Anyway as I cannot really see any differences in the Menu and Bookmark Toolbars, etc, I am happy with all at the top of my screen. Even File, Edit, etc seems to be where it was before the FF update.(Possibly because I am sometimes unobservant and I guess my memory could be failing.

Cheers......Hans.

methyl, sorry for the delay, I've been away.
No nothing adverse really. As I said I just didn't like the 'feel' of it. I still dont but I am hanging in there.
There is a poll being discussed about it.

Oh that didn't work. You'll have to copy & paste I'm afraid.
I generally use 64bit FF variants but downloaded FF29 on Tuesday, and Classic Theme Restorer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ClassicThemeRestorer/ can almost (but not quite) restore the look of the UI back to how I like it. So for the foreseeable future I'll be sticking to Pale Moon, the producers of which have already declare that they won't change to the Australis interface unless it becomes unavoidable.
