Tut!
silly silly boy
Ooo naughty boy ! Lol....spotted the cameras down A1 bit up here have been burnt out !!
Round here they seem to be catching lots of people with the average speed cameras. Do seem to charge a lot for those courses, and one of my friends has just been on her second one in four years, so they don't seem to provide a long-term deterrent (she said most people on it were repeat offenders)
If you are going to get done, get done proper! I got nabbed doing 92mph....and bizarrely I was complemented on my driving, it was just the speed they disapproved of :-(
Ah well. I did an awareness course- it was more interesting than i expected...

Interesting Eccles. I was in a company vehicle so might have had a bit of a ticking off at that speed!

Oh, gosh, how could you?
;-)
You're not allowed to do another course within 3 years. I had never known you were supposed to use 3rd gear to drive at 30mph :-\
Don't tell us porkies, Z-M! There's no part of the A14 where you can do do any speed greater than that of the lorry ahead of you in the outside lane ;-)
Question Author
Campbell I thought you could only go on one awareness course.
How the flip did you get up to 83 on the A14 - it's usually a procession of elephant racers doing 55.9 in lane 1 and 56.0 in lane 2 ...
Sneaky camera vans. We were in a queue of traffic all travelling smoothly at the same speed when the first car in the queue spotted the police van, put his anchors on and nearly caused a pile up....

It was about mid day Chris so the road was unusually quiet (unfortunately).
Zac, apparently you can go on another one as long as there is a 3 year gap inbetween
Back in the mid 70's when there was a fuel crisis and speed limit was dropped to 50 I was stopped and warned. The next day I was stopped again, same copper no warning this time. I was fined with points as well.
Never been stopped since. YET

I see Campbell. Thanks.
I've done the Course, too.

You get tea mid morning, and a biscuit, so it's not all bad.

It's best not to ask if you can get your hands on a Bloody Mary.
bad luck Zacs, they make you pay for these courses I believe ? and its not cheap ?
