Saturday, just after the supermarket opens. Shelves are fully stocked and not many other customers around.

I use Asda, they are the cheapest supermarket here. I've got a delivery pass which costs £15 for all my deliveries but I have to spend £40 to use it. They do £1 delivery slots on certain days and the minimum spend is £25.

I get most of my shopping delivered due to working full-time and just generally being to knackered to go shopping. I alternate between Tesco and Ocado. Sometimes I do a mini shop in Sainsbury's during my lunch break but I don't like using the fridges at work as they are full and sometimes dirty.

We usually shop Thursday as it's market day in the town we use.We shop then call in to the local Witherspoon's for lunch and there's always some old friend doing the same.

As and when I need/want something. I have both lidls and aldi near my work,so can pop in there. Or,when I go into the city centre I go into sainsburys/tescos/M&S. I don't drive,so I rarely do a 'big' shop.

Hey Kate how are you? Is it safe to assume you are thinking about having your groceries delivered? I do this all the time, I mostly use Sainsburys as the cats will only use their litter, but I have used all the others except Morrison's, even Waitrose, who do free delivery if you spend £50, they're all pretty good and arrive more or less when they are supposed to, but Sainsburys do hourly slots so no long waits, though as soon as they get around to building the supermarket just up the road from here I won't be having any more deliveries from them! I do have to pay for delivery but it's cheaper than driving to the store. I just wish Marks would deliver groceries, I'd never leave home again!

get fed up shopping, tried going at night but aisles are full of boxes and stuff (ASDA), is online shopping easier and do you get what you ordered or do you get any old stuff sent?

On the Asda site you can say if you want items substituted. If they do substitute anything and you don't want it they will take it back. You can also send back anything else if you don't want it (short shelf life or manky looking fruit, etc).

I shop whenever - I'm going to Morrisons today. We find that the later you go, the more marked down the meat and fish is - but other things might be lower in stock. I head straight for the reduced shelves anyway, there are usually good bargains to be had there.
