When so many men's reputations and careers have been ruined by false accusations, why should this woman be allowed to remain anonymous, in case naming her would 'damage' her reputation?

This is a civil case and her identity is being protected 'during' proceedings.
If the case goes in her favour, then her reputation won't have been needlessly damaged; I imagine if it goes against her, her name will be released and any damage to her reputation she will have brought upon herself.
ok ok jack but they always name the men in such cases, no matter that their name can be "needlessly damaged".
I'm not sure that we can say the men are 'always' named in these cases....the same protections may well be afforded to them, it's just that we never get to hear about the ones where the tribunals have ruled that there is no case for them to answer.
I think it should apply to men too - or anyone who hasn't yet been charged.
It's equal rights, or not.

Apparently in an employment tribunal if there are sexual allegations,
the parties can apply for anonymity

I thought they closed the proceedings - so no one can hear what went on, but apparently the proceedings are open and there are reporting restrictions.

You can always go along to the court and have a look ....
