Transport In London - When Is "off-Peak"?

I'm going to be in London on Friday 23 May & the TfL website says my Network Railcard will give me a discount on an "Off-Peak Day Travelcard", but I can't see on their site what "Off-Peak" is.

I'll be getting to London about 2pm, travelling around Zone 1 until about 9pm then leaving. Is any (or all) of that classed as "Off-Peak"?

It used to be after 9.00 and before 4.00 but it may have changed.

Now 10am but some stations allow earlier departure.

Please look at the Travelcard conditions, towards the bottom it tells you how you can use your Travelcard in London: http://visitorshop.tfl.gov.uk/help-centre/ticket-comparison.html.
It says that off-peak can be used all day after 9.30am and up to 04.30am the next day for a journey started before 04.30am

Off-peak is one of the train companies' more devious schemes, it varies from station to station, area to area. Some only "peak" the early morning, others include a period in the evening rush as well. You need to enquire specific cases with actual Customer Service rather than use websites (which can be entertaining as sometimes they are fairly clueless themselves).

Based on my own experiences, I think your specific case will be OK as off-peak but I may be wrong as this is based on Senior Railcard not Network Railcard/Day Travelcard.

I'm sure this complexity is deliberate so the TOCs can make a lot of money out of excess fare payments when people get it wrong.

as e.crespo says, the off-peak regulations involved here will be TFL's, since they issue London travel cards. So it's 9.30am to 4.30am.
