I Love Dinner Date On Telly

People have other people round for dinner.

The food all goes wrong.

They burn things. Nothing rises. Pastry is flat and stodgy. Things don't set properly. It's too bland, or too spicy. The flavours don't work. The kitchen looks like a bomb site.

It's life affirming. It's like ... Yes! ... It's not just me!

Cooking is not like MasterChef, with lots of amazing creations, all turning out perfectly. It's a minefield of booby traps and disasters.

I love Dinner Date. It tells it how it is.
