maybe add a bit of salt?
Put some fresh coriander in it - voila, carrot coriander soup. This is fine if you have fresh coriander, if not I would add some spice _ chilli powder - just a little bit

As above - coriander will help - loads of fresh stuff, not from a jar, and add the stalks too which have just as much flavour - but maybe also cumin and lemon juice to get a sharpness.

Puree well, and serve with a pesto swirled through it - like a coconut pesto, or something equally sharp and spicy

Thanks to all for your help,I've just added some more salt and water and it's not bad. I also love mushroom and oxtail soups and lentil with ham.I now feel peckish.
Put fewer carrots in!
