Is anyone familiar with a kind of camera device that links to your phone/ laptop that will warn you of intruders when you are not home? I remember seeing something on t.v a while back. I would like to look in to what's available & how much something like that would cost. I will look in later, thanks!

It doesn't record but you can watch it remotely via laptop and/or smart phone and you can set it up to alert you via email if it detects motion.

Other places sell similar things, have a look at Maplins.

Not knowing how much you can afford to spend I suggest trying Ebay or Amazon because the ones I've seen recomended in the computer mags. tend to be about £100 plus.

I have 2 of that cameras to watch my hedghehogs.

I also have a Ltl Acorn - I have the model that takes a sim card - but since I don't have a mobile phone.....

I got it ex demo from ebay.
