I'm thinking of buying a Mazda Demio (year 2001) for a runabout. the price seems quite cheap so I'm wondering if I take a friend along who's a mechanic are there any specific problems to look for.
For example I've heard the catalytic converters on Mazdas can be a lot of money to replace, also I'd have to get timing belt done if there's no bill to show if it's been done. I'd be grateful for any advice.

Are Mazda still doing BOGOF nowadays?
I had to look up what Demio is, can't say that I'd heard of them.

15 Dec 2008 - A Mazda dealer in Norhumberland is offering a buy one get one free deal on new Mazdas. Buy a Mazda RX8 and get a Mazda 2 thrown in free.
Good luck in finding body parts for them...
