While at the chemist getting the 'script filled I decided to buy a thermometer, the assistant talked me in to a digital one. Yea gods what a palaver setting it up.
All I wanted was to take Mic's temperature, not to launch the next bloody space shuttle. Grrrrrrrr.

What was the problem, Jeza ?.

oh for the days of simple gadgets, Jeza

my thoughts are with you both
you can get ones that you just aim and point at the person - like star trek!

Probably me Tony. I'm not very techie. I'm been looking at laptops and going wifi, maybe I shouldn't bother if the thermometer is anything to go by.

Agree excel, I should have bought an "under the tongue one" if they still sell them

Black cat, it's one of those that you put on your temple or stick in your ear. Sounds easy. NOT
Why did you call the Doc? Did you have an accident with the thermometer?
I see, Jeza, we can all have days like that. Hey get yourself a laptop and go wi fi, it's easy honest, Jeza.
We have a digital thermometer it just goes under the tougue like a normal one, only diffrence is it displays the temp as 38.1 or what ever in figures, easier to read. You just have to turn it on and put it under the tougue, no set up needed.

They said that about the thermometer Tony.

Ha Ha Tilly I called the Doc to Mic.

Eddie, Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Digital ones are best. The old-fashioned ones actually need 8 minutes to record accurately- and nobody does that.
This is ours cost £3.50 , just pop it under the tougue and wait 60 seconds
it even turns itself off after a few mins to save the battery.

Mercury thermometers havent been available for some years now - like twenty

so you have the digitsal under the tongue - simple but has a long response and delay time ( technical words meaning it takes a longtime to get to the meaningful figure ) 45 s I think

The other one is the ear one
dontcha turn it on - press the button -shove it in mikes ear - wait for it to go zoop, that's really quig,
take it out and read it. ?

when you turn it on it stores last figure ?

v useful when I was neutropenic.
