xantia heating problem

my heater was working fine then started making strange noises then slowing right down then speeding back up now it makes a slight click when you operate the control lever and the motor does not spin can anyone help please ?

the matrix is blocked and the motor is on its way out.

Could be just the switch has failed but more likely the bearings are dry and worn.

It might be that the fan has moved on the motor shaft and is touching the casing.
