Tangier Or Gibraltar
5 Answers
Well, I'm here in Fuenirola and we're wondering whether its worth doing the trip to Gibraltar or Tangier. We can't make up our minds. Tangier sounds exciting but quite expensive to go. Is there much to see in Gibraltar.

I have been to both places. I'd recommend Tangier.
At least in Tangier you might get to see a cabaret/belly dancing.
And never fear, Morocco is not "dry".

I have also been on trips to both. Gibraltar is interesting and the tour of the rock is worth doing - we did it in a private taxi which we hired on arrival and for four of us, it was a good way of doing it and not too expensive.
Tangiers is probably more of an exciting and different day out. We took my 80 year old mother on the day trip there when were were on holiday in Marbella, and she was fascinated, never having been to Africa. It's a completely different culture and way of life. Plus you have a boat trip thrown in.
