Himself has just booked us two family rooms in a technology-led hotel. Just had a look and everything is controlled by Samsung devices, reckon the room I am in is going to be in darkness all night with no TV as I can't get to grips with the way anything non-apple works.

No remote, no light switches, nothing - everything including the blinds/curtains is controlled by some fancy gizmo thing. I will be at the mercy of one of the kids to sort things out for me.
you wont be in the room that much sherr enjoy your break
A nightmare! May the force go with you!
If you speak with a strong accent you have no chance. My sat-nav doesn't even understand, "Take me home".

It's only one night at the airport, should be 'interesting' (if a bit scary).

Graham, I'm stuffed then, I have a strong accent.
I'm not laughing....nope I'm not....maybe a snigger is sneezing out though....
I'm not technophobic but things non-Human are scary. You ask them to do something and they darn right refuse to comply.

Wait a mo.. it does sound vaguely familiar...
Sneezing out sounds disgusting.... It should have been sneaking out

Sher, where are you going? It matters not. Take me with you and I'll mind the kids to give you a break.
>>>I will be at the mercy of one of the kids to sort things out for me

Isn't that why you have kids anyway? To program your video recordings, to sort out your computer problems and to generally make you feel old wherever modern technology is involved?

Jeza, we've decided life's to short and booked on Monday to go to Florida (mid June). The kids aren't going to remember us buying a new sofa or being careful with dosh, so sod it, we're going to spoil them.
Go for it Sher. Have a fabulous time. You are right. Kids will not remember the sofa. They will remember the trip. Will be too tired to watch the TV. Wake with the sun. Just remember a torch to get to the loo. Enjoy every minute you have with your family.
Go with it sher. Wish we had done the same instead of saving for retirement and then to being eaten up with care costs.
