The stony faced old men on top of Lenin's tomb taking the salute at the march past seemed a world away from people like Che or Fidel.
I nearly got a kick in the face at Lenin's tomb, the soldiers don't stop their high legged patrol march for anything - That'll teach me to lean over the chains to take a photo.
Interesting place Red Square. I don't remember the Pathe broadcasts. but love watching them if they ever crop up in a documentary
