Some fabulous pics there sunny-dave, if not rather sad.
The 9th one down, with a D shaped yellow handle, reminded me of a scary little incident at RAF Syerston.
I regularly went up on early morning flights known as the 'weather ships'.
One morning, the pilot signed to take a Jet Provost out, knowing there was a possibility of a 'loose article'. In fact it was an indicator bulb cover.
He said nothing to me before flipping the plane over ( he had seen the cover on the floor, and by flipping the aircraft he was able to pick it off the canopy)
I just grabbed for something to hold on to, as soon as my fingers made contact, I realised what it was I had grabbed......it was the ruddy seat pan firing handle for the ejector seat. ooooooppppsssss.
