Permanently Deleting Books From Kindle Fire Hd.

Despite various sites and Amazon saying you can permanently delete forever books no longer wanted on this kindle it appears you can't and everything stays in the cloud.My previous kindle allowed me to delete wat I wanted from my kindle and then the book was gone forever.Now Iam told you can still do this from going to Manage my kindle...going to library and deleting there....all it does is remove from my laptop screen but not the actual book which still is in my cloud.Keep being told by others that why worry what is in the cloud but feel it is odd you can't get rid of all unwanted books like before......I don't want to deregister as would lose all entries but have so many books now I wish to permanently get rid of....is there any way round this please....can't believe in this day and age this is an impossible task....any help please...thanks

it only is taken off the screen but still remains on the kindle itself.
No one seems to be able to answer what Iam asking.Must be someone who can tell me what to do on my kindle itself or confirm that you can't and it is maybe just a marketing ploy to fill up the cloud memory so you have to buy a new kindle!

You can't do it from the Kindle Fire itself, you need to log into your amazon account and do it that way.

I have the same problem with music and audible books on my iPad etc and even when I thought I had them deleted from everywhere - they popped back up on icloud....and when you do any sort of sync - they reappear .. I guess they are determined that we use up so much space we are obliged to buy more space..Grrrr!

looked and followed instructions as by the entry from cheekychops above but still the books remain in my cloud.Amazon tell me the same info and say to go to manage my kindle,actions and delete and no one seems to understand that it simply is only deleted from the laptop screen and not the kindle...all this sync business isn't working at all and is all another thing to try but to no avail. Any better help that works would be much appreciated and don't want to be re told what I have already done numerous times.Thanks

I followed what you said and it allowed me to delete a book permanently or at least it seems to have vanished unless it is lurking elsewhere! So I proceeded to delete 2 more.....no such luck despite doing the same.They now just have a read and white symbol next to them.First book that was fine deleting vanished after 15 mins but this has now been more than 2 hours....perhaps they limit it to 1 aday!!!!!!
