A quick- fix until I get a cat-scarier please! All of a sudden this afternoon a cat has dug holes in two tubs with seeds growing outside my gate, making a healthy deposit! And I don't want the same thing in my yard tubs etc. What can I try to deter it? Any ideas welcome.........

I lay pea sticks (or similar) in a lattice across the tubs

If you look at related questions below there are suggestions
put sharp stones or brambles over the soil area for a while - citrus peel is supposed to help deter cats but can vouch for that method.I have seen tin foil crimped around the top of pots for a while too - doesn't look too good but seemed to work.
Good idea, cats hate tin foil.
Interesting problem and probably an ongoing one in the making! Large round pebbles work well for us – they really don't have to be sharp – cats try to get to the soft earth to dig a hole to leave their 'you-know-what' ... to be honest we've not had much luck with citrus shavings/orange peel. As I say, try the above ... good luck!
I only wish there was a quick fix,or rather any fix I am plagued with neighbours cats making "deposits" as you so politely put it,anyone with a sure fix would make an absolute fortune!!

You could try buying some lion poo. It is called Silent Roar Cat Repellent from primrose.co.uk. My friend tried this and it did work.
My daughter had a beautiful garden which was the only one in her street. You can guess where all the local cats went. She tried everything without. When she moved her buyer had a dog. Problem solved.
I have had lion poo, four sonic cat scarers - they don't work!! don't waste your money. My neighbour has 16 of the foul things, I have tried everything. i think people should be made to keep them on their own land like dogs, why should we have to put up with their filth when we have no animals.
