Possible, you would have thought some sort of wreckage would have come to the surface.

There is a crazy scientist somewhere who claims that if the plane made a flat landing, then there would be no debris....

however that is why they have released the data - they ahve no idea.

but they know where it isnt
The possible area it 'landed' in is huge. If it travelled 5000 miles in any direction the area would be almost 80 million square miles. And it could be a mile or so under water
Well I think it`s way, way north and not in the South Indian Ocean at all.
Alien abduction
I keep thinking of James Bond movies where a rogue satellite takes them off course and they crash in a jungle, or a huge trawler scoops them out of the sea. After all that, I've read that the searchers have been looking in the wrong place, it appears the 'pings' were from their own search vessels.
