artificial. your best bet is artificial. hardy, disease free and low maintainence

i personally don't like artificial flowers.

To be honest, no roses are disease free but some of the specie roses are more disease resistant and easy to care for ie rosa rugosa, my favorite is rosa dupontii. The hips are popular with the birds too.
