Chill; In 2009 Mon Mome became the first French-bred horse to win the National since 1909!! Since when, of course, Neptune Collonges has also obliged (2012) making their record in the last 10 years; 2 wins, 4 placed and 93 also rans. So, not only have you chosen the right time in history to follow such nags, you have also managed to choose the correct ones from the 99 who have attempted to win the big race. Well done, sir. There have been NO French-bred winners of the Derby in the last 10 years yet, oddly, 4 of the last 10 winners have been the progeny of French-bred Montjeu - though i believe only one, Pour Moi, had a French name.

I've had one bet on the Derby in the last 15 years, and that was when Commander In Chief won it(being ex HM Forces, I had a flutter).
Bar that, it's only in the last couple of years I've used the French names-based formula, though my Dad did once put a quid on L'Escargot for me when I was a 10 year old. I was rich beyond my wildest dreams! LOL
