Camera Recommendations Please

hi, my husband has an expensive slr camera (with a mega expensive lens). However, it's quite unwieldy, and not particularly transportable. I would like to get him a smaller digital camera for snapshots (holidays and stuff) i want to spend between 40-70 pounds. Any recommendations please? It would be helpful if it could also take short video clips

Fuji make a decent range of cameras ranging from around £40 pounds.Drop into a Currys/PC World and have a look round.We've had a Finepix f40/20 for some years now with no complaints 8.3 mega pixels and small enough to fit in your pocket or a handbag.

I too had a very expensive digital SLR with several lenses, but I got so tired of lugging it around. I have now abandoned the whole camera thing altogether in favour of my smartphone.

Less luggage on holiday, almost no weight, MUCH faster to use, no setting it up, and with a couple of 32gb memory cards I can take quite literally hundreds of pictures AND videos.

So I would question the need of a camera at all these days.
