can anyone help i remember hearing a version of this played on electric guitars but cannot remember the two players it was in the 80's i think

This tune was originally called Feuding Banjos and was renamed when included in "Deliverance" (squeal for me, Boy) and was records by Eric Weissberg & Steve Mandell....There have been LOADS of cover versions but it might have been one of the following: Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs, The Toy Dolls (same bands as did Nellie the Elephant), Chet Atkins & Roy Clark, The Allman Bros., Bob Dylan & Tom Petty but as i said there have been a fair few covers of this one.
