Can somebody tell me the standard size for decking planks.
I need to cost out a small job, and need to work out my material prices

Don't know if it will help, but here in the U.S. a 'standard' deck plank is 8 feet long by 5 3/4 inches wide... nominally, 8' X 6". Having said that, 12', 14' and 16' lengths are readily available.

The planks are usually 5/4 thick... meaning somewhere between 1" and 1 1/4" thick...

Much the same here. 140mm (5.5") x 28mm (1 and 1/8")
Lengths from builders' merchants are generally 12', 14'
