I thought the kind ABers who posted such encouraging comments would be interested to know I have received my first reply:


"Hello Cris
Thank you so much for sending your audio file through, and it's really good to see all of the lovely responses you've received too. What you've done is really valuable for other survivors and I think it's really important that as many people as possible hear it.

We'd really like to share this with our membership (56 Rape Crisis centres across England and Wales) so that they can use it if they wish to, perhaps on their own individual websites. I wanted to check with you first of course, would you be happy for us to do that? We send out an e-bulletin every month to all of our member centres and we would be really happy to include it in the next e-bulletin.

Would you also be happy for us to tweet a link to your audio file on Twitter so that our followers can access it?"


Of course I am going to give my permission - if it helps just one person then I will be absolutely delighted.

Thank you all for your kind words and gentle persuasion. I really never expected something so positive to come from my pain.
I feel like the healing really has begun.
