Thank you. Prim for proper I suppose?

Violet Elizabeth Bott was Just William's friend, who used to say 'I'll scream and scream until I make myself sick!'

earthakitten The style of this quiz can only by picked up from reading a number of the clues not just one clue. If the other clues are largely cryptic and not particularly knowledge-based, then PRIMROSE is the sort of answer required (for the reason given by jogill). If they tend to refer to factual sources (rather than general knowledge) then Violet is likely to be in the frame.

Having said that there will be more candidates than the loathsome Miss Bott for that dubious title. What about Violet Beauregard of Willie Wonker fame? Then there's Hyacinth Bucket (not so little!)...

Thanks jogill

Thanks for the explanation crofter

Appologies for going off on a tangent on someone elses question but what was the advert 'Mummy says when I grow up I'm going to be a proper little madam' xx

No problem! If you don't ask then you don't find out!

I am not saying that PRIMROSE is correct, but two people came up with the same answer simultaneously. That's got to mean something.

As for Violet BEAUREGARDE of Willie WONKA fame (earlier spellings corrected), I am not putting her forward as a serious suggestion.

Come to think of it, the original Eartha Kitt was a bit of a madam herself!

What are you suggesting crofter! I'm still a kitten and a bundle of joy and delight I am, even if I say so myself xx
Pass! No comment!
