I went to a 'prom' send off the other day. All the girls were wearing really high heels .. so high in fact that they couldn't actually walk naturally! I'm seeing lots of this style of shoe. What the hell are they doing to their bodies ?

This really made me laugh in instructions of how to wear very high heels:

A good tip for the dominatrix is to blindfold your partner and then replace your heels with some comfortable slippers, only putting them back on just before the blindfold comes off.

LOL!!!!
Not sure about mine; probably between 3 and 4 but need to do a lot of sitting down on nights out when I wear heels of any height!
Lol hc! Imagine some woman all dressed up in dominatrix stuff then with those furry bunny slippers hahaha!
They will regret it when they get older and have all sorts of things go wrong with their feet like deformed toes, callouses, corns and bunions.
I remember watching a documentary about Shirley Bassey. It showed her being literally carried on stage because her dress was far too narrow to allow her to walk.
It didn't show the prop behind her to hold her steady on her heels.
Generally, I find heels that are lower in height are more comfortable. I prefer a heel that is no higher than 3.5 inches (maybe a little higher if it has a platform). Also, the taller the heel, the wider the heel should be. If it's really tall and really skinny, you're going to be putting all of your weight on the front of your foot, which can be uncomfortable. If the heel is wider, you can put more of your weight on the back of your foot. I also prefer closed-toed heels, because I find that peep-toe shoes allow my toes to "squish" out the front and get pinched by the opening in the heel.
