Abortion Facts Needed...

A girl I work with is 7 weeks pregnant and is unsure what to do. I told her to make up her mind as the earlier she decides if she wants to terminate the easier it is (I presume)... but she has told me that after 6 weeks it's not a case of taking a couple of pills and having a 'heavy period', and it involves an invasive operation... Is this right? When I've googled it all I get is pro-life and nothing constructive to support the woman if she's not in a position to keep the child (which surely would be better all round in the long run)... toughie I know, but any advice I could pass on would be gratefully recieved (and I know I've spelt recieved wrong for all you wordies out there!).. This girl does not need "advice", what she needs is someone to talk to, to weigh up the pros and cons then to make an informed decision for herself.

I find it reassuring that the only adverse comments on this thread come from the male of the species. What do they really know about it. Would they think different if they were the pregnant ones. IMO probably.
