Three men go out for a meal at a cost of £30 the owner of the restaurant realises
it should have been £25 so he tells the waiter to run after the men and give them
back £5, on the way he thinks I will keep a tip for myself. So he gives the men £1 each and
£2 for himself, so the men paid £9 each, £27. £2 for the waiter £29, so what happened to the
£1.?A old one but never had it explained
Think of the transfer of money - the £30 has been split between £28 for the meal and £2 for the waiter so the men paid £9.33 (rounded to whole pennies) each for the meal.
