Despite its success in gaining an MEP in Scotland, UKIP, with all its success in galvanising support for its course, managed to attract 10% of voters in Scotland on a ~35% turnout.
Whether or not Scotland will be able to join the EU - at least, as easily as the "Scotland's Future" manifesto claims - is far more of an issue.

Scotland, if it voted for Independence, would also cease to be a member of the EU. It would then be up to the Scottish Parliament whether Scotland applied to join the EU. The EU would assess Scotland's application andwhether it wanted Scotland as a member.
Assuming Scotland wanted to join, and the EU wanted them as a member, then it would be up to the Scottish parliament to decide whether to ask the Scottish people their view with a referendum.
Remember, Heath joined us up without consulting the British people.
