Cat Deterrents
I have a small border around my front open plan lawn which the local cat population appear to think is their own private toilet. I am absolutely fed up clearing away their mess and am looking to find an effective remedy for this I would be most grateful for any ideas that others have employed which have proven effective and any that have not.

My neighbor had the same prob a month ago, even though he had a cat.
I suggested to him to buy the black plastic cats that you just stick in the ground. They have an evil eye that follows the cats. He bought 3 from amazon or ebay, they are about £3 each.
It worked straight away, but the problem is they have been using my front borders, so I will have to buy some now!

I have a wheelbarrow which I put the grass cutting before taking them to local dump .While the cutting are in the barrow there is a cat which sleeps in it .the understand is if he don't foul up the lawn he can lie there but if he /she breaks the rules then the barrow goes back in the shed. So come to some agreeable arrangement with the moggy and all will be fine .I fine the them a most agreeable animal .
