Burning Cd Via Windows Media Player

Help, I have a Compaq CQ2000 computer, I am having a problem burning CD's via Windows Media Player I set up the player and then press burn, which it does, BUT after a while it completes the circle then throws out this message

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

Windows Player encountered an error while burning.
Verify that the burner is connected properly and the disc is clean and not damaged.


I have made sure that the burner is correctly connected, the discs that I am using are TDK CD-R and they are brand new.

Can anyone please advise me what to do.
