Gel For Mouth Ulcers

What's the name of that gel that you get for mouth ulcers that makes a protective cover? A temporary crown must have a rough edge and it's made my inside cheek red raw with a yellow patch. It's really really sore. I tried Bonjela and nearly hit the ceiling. Any help appreciated.

Thanks ubasses not heard of that, looks like it's more for gum disease. I can almost picture the ad for what I'm thinking of, a cartoon blue man thing who pats like a plastic cover over an ulcer.

Bonjella is the tried and recommended mouth ulcer gel in my family - I would also suggest you invest in some 'Corsodil' Mouth wash as it truly does work wonders for mouth ulcers.
If you are struggling tonight and the shops are all shut, have a small ice cube if you can bear it to ease the pain a bit. Hope it heals soon x

Had to smile when I read this. I've been applying Bonjela to an ulcer today.Before when I've used it it was excruciatingly painful for a few minutes. This time no pain-can't believe it. Maybe I used it before the ulcer was really bad.I do sympathise with you-hope somebody can recommend a less painful remedy!

Be a bit careful using corsodyl. Its brilliant stuff but can also upset the mouth's flora balance and trigger oral thrush.

Thanks all, especially The Winner (hi) because that's what I was thinking of. However I already have the ordinary bonjela and I thought my skin was being ripped off! I'll also look at Cordasyl, perhaps I'll try it again quinie, not too keen though.

A few months ago I had terrible ulcers and the Dr recommended Difflam Spray - its brilliant......numbs everything!
