a dule of doves ?
Sorry ignore my answer - see its duel not dule.
just googled it and it comes up with toothbrushes. Never heard it before
Doves
Got a lovely image now of 2 toothbrushes back to back each holding a pistol ....think Max Bygraves is singing in the distance. :-)
A down of hares A draught of fish A dray of squirrels A drift of swine A drove of cattle A duel of doves.
Haven't seen it spelled that way - Dule and Dole.

Live and learn.
