Sad Few Weeks ...........

In case any of you have missed me on AB (except for the birthday threads) I have been organising my Mum's funeral - which was held yesterday. I know she had a good life reaching 90 years, but it still is a huge gap in your life, when you have seen her so regularly and phoned her at least 4 times every day ............. although it was a huge shock as she had been so well and died very suddenly, it is a blessing that we didn't have to see her get really frail and ill. We had a lovely thanksgiving service yesterday to celebrate her life, an uplifting service which brought comfort to know she is now reunited with my Dad in Heaven after many years apart.

So sorry for your loss Ann, I lost my lovely Mum at the end of November last year, she was nearly 89 and still full of life... A big Hug from me. xxxx

Thinking of you, Ann. My mum was 94 when she died, a good life well lived, just like your dear mum. We too had a memorial service which was lovely, as a lot of people couldn't make her funeral, and it was a lovely day. Big hugs.

Thanks for your lovely comments everyone. Have just been to the cemetery to water the beautiful floral arrangements on the grave, Mum loved flowers.
