Childrens Ghost Story.

My daughter is trying to find the title of a book she read in primary school in the 1990's
It is about a girl who dies in a mineshaft and comes back as a ghost. A new boy arrives at her old school and has to sit at her desk. Only he can see her. Think her name is Jenny.
Have found a thread online about this story and lots of people read the book but cannot remember the title.

Thanks Wolf63. Some of those have been mentioned in the online thread I found. I think it is set in modern times but the girl is from the past and the boy sees the classroom as an old fashioned room. Not sure where it is set.
