Yep the moaners will be back for their 4 yearly rant.
Wonder how many hours of mind numbing soaps will still be on compared to the feast of football over the next 4 weeks?
Wimbledon will be on for hours and hours as well,I don't like tennis or soaps so won't watch them,simple as that.

I like footie and SOME soaps. The best game I ever watched was Holland v Greece in either a Euro or a World cup game. Can't remember which. So yes I'll be watching.

What I am on the look out for is an endless procession of comments about "samba football" . It's bad enough as it is, with the World Cup being where it is it will be even worse.

What I can never understand is why they put the same match on BOTH channels as they always do eventually - WHY??? You can only watch one channel at a time !

It does rather take over. Out of interest, does anyone know the number of UK viewers it gets? I'll watch the England games, but that's it. Will lose interest as soon as they go home.

Apparently 20 million watch the final, so 2/3rds of people in the UK don't. You would think the majority watch it from all the fuss that's made.

what I'd like to know is how many games will pass before England's chances of progression are down to statistical requirement -

eg, if team x score 4 against y, if z draw against x, if we beat z by more than 6 goals......

It's a requirement to work it out mathematically when England play.

The way i see it is the World Cup is only every four years.. I dont follow the soaps but they are on nearly every night of the week, so what have they got to complain about?
