Due to the absence of the Mad Over 50's Club (I am sure Queenie & Nungate will be released on bail before next Saturday - it was a misunderstanding with the secateurs in B&Q), I have hastily convened a Saturday night gathering at Chez Overall.
There is an extensive selection of welcoming drinks from the "why on earth did you buy that?" cupboard, including advocaat, cheap foreign lagers, absinthe, cherry brandy, creme de menthe and several bottles of lurid-coloured liquid with missing labels. You are very welcome to BYOB. You will of course not be allowed to take any bottles home as the clinking might disturb the neighbours.
Entertainment will not be on the normal Saturday night scale but you may wish to partake in Hunt the Snail. There is a fabulous prize for the participant who can hurl the most snails into next door's garden. There is also Swingball, crab-apple bobbing, and for the adventurous, a game of nude Twister will take place on the back lawn once it is fully dark. There will be dancing in the dining room to 80's music.
Food will be a pot luck supper, but Rennies and Alka Seltzer will be freely available.
There is no raffle but there will be a prize for the best 1980's outfit.
All are welcome.
