In the Collins dictionary the answer is Gordius,on Brians site his crossword states that it is Gordias, which one is right.

It rather depends which reference the setter uses - but in the main 'Gordias' comes up first with 'Gordius' as an alternative.

Yes, that's what I meant 'Gordias' is usually first but really as it has a valid alternative both should be allowed.
