I've only been back in town a couple of days. There's some odd stuff going on here. Loads of the roads have been marked up as 20mph zones, like at the top of Old Steine, and no one seems to know whether to ignore it. And a big section of the sea front is restricted for cars after the underside of the road collapsed into a pub under the arches.

Oh, on the jolly front, the whole of the pier has been decorated with banners celebrating ten years of the Roy Grace novels by Peter James.

I'm guessing the weekends will all be touristified (is that a word?) fom now on.
