Using Dongle In Europe

I use a Huawei "MiFi" on 3 to connect my laptop smartphone to the internet in the UK
Its on a contract. Would I be charged rates similar to phone charges if I used it to connect to a signal in Europe. TIA

I believe you would. Better to go to local wifi hotspots or make use of free wifi often provided to hotel guests in Europe (we're just back from Spain, the hotel just gave us a log-in - some charge, some don't - but much cheaper than using a dongle).

Depends on which country you go to. If it is a 'feel at home' country it won't cost any more to use abroad than it does at home,

USA, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau.

From 1 July 2014 you’ll also be able to enjoy Feel At Home in France, Switzerland, Norway, Finland and Israel.

Any other country and it will be standard roaming rates and the exact cost will depend on whether you are on contract or pay as you go

I have 15 gb per month, and on checking I came upon a rate of 45.8p per mb making and receiving. Any Idea how much of my 15gb I would use if I was on an hour a day for 6 days. Would a slow download connection be a factor.

Depends what you were doing, bob. Reading emails uses very little data compared to watching video.
Slow broadband makes no difference - 1mb of data is 1mb whether it takes a fraction of a second or all day.
