No Jeza, it wouldn't be my place to tell someone they were dying, unless it was someone very close who asked me and then I probably would.

When Mic was in hospital he had a massive stomach bleed. He was given several bags of blood. The doc told me the prognosis was not good. IMO had I told Mic this he would have given in. I told him he was not going to die on me. I needed him to fight and keep fighting. Did I lie YES. Best thing I ever did.

Jeza there is a difference between a poor prognosis and knowing 100% that someone is dying..........

Nobody is 100% honest. If a close friend or much loved relative asks if you like her new dress, or his new car, or does my bum look big in this, do you still find me sexy? etc etc.... you are NOT going to hurt them and tell the truth are you? Oh yes, you're bum is the size of Yorkshire. Oh, your new dress makes you look like a 90 year old. Oh, your new car is an old rattler, no you are NOT sexy , you fat old sod. NOBODY is going to tell the truth to someone they love. We lie all the time e.g. Nice to meet you, pleasure to meet you. You are welcome. Happy to help... and that's just to strangers.

Honestly - ha ! I think there is a difference between you know - did you throw that sweet paper down ? no - type honesty,
and the important stuff....doing what you say you will do or financial honesty

I agree Peter. Sometimes people use "I'm only being honest" to be hurtful. It doesn't work- we all filter what we say or we would literally be spouting everything that comes into our brains and we would either be sectioned or arrested. Honesty is extremely important- but so are other people's feelings.

I can say I'm so honest I often offend. So maybe I am 100%? It's not intentional to upset people and I do try to be tactful but generally what I think is what I say.
