Black Spot's Bottom.....

Poor thing! Black Spot has just come back from the vet with a head collar, not impressed. He was very off colour and clearly in pain this morning, and the vet diagnosed a huge abscess on his bottom, which hurt his leg and his tail as well as other bits. Nurse Boxy is now armed with rubber gloves and a scary array of medication and sluices for him.... I may be some time :-(

I've only just seen this. Good that the old boy seems to be making a good recovery. I know Caspar would be nesting under the bed if he had to have tablets of any kind. Well done you getting all the meds into Black Spot. :-)

A friend of mine gave me a good time to stop them shedding the tablets - pop the tab in the mouth, hold the jaw shut firmly, then blow in their nostrils. It makes them swallow. Eureka!
